At Castaway Resort
the spirit of ‘The Beach’ is brought to life. Amid the beautiful setting nature has given Koh Lipe,
spacious wooden bungalows and large chill out deck overlooking the beach definitely make Castaway

in comfy cushions and small tables looking out over Sun Rise Beach. With a well stocked bar and a restaurant
that has a great reputation with our customers for serving mouth watering. Stay in one of our spacious bungalows and re-connect with a simpler life. Made from hardwoods and natural materials the design of our bungalows draws heavily on traditional Thai architecture and building techniques. Designed to capture the winds, cooling breezes are funneled under the eaves into the bedroom keeping the temperature inside comfortable all year long. In the evenings under the stars and with the sound of the waves for company sit on the deck and share a memorable evening with friends and family whilst enjoying a cold beer or one of our signature cocktails. |

:: Internet :: We have free Wi-Fi covering the restaurant, bar and part of the beach. Perfect for just checking your e-mail on your iPhone or doing a spot of work with your laptop. We don't have any computers to rent or borrow, so if you don't have your own device there are internet cafes close to the resort on the walking street. :: Bank & Money :: On Koh Lipe there are no banks, ATMs or official money exchanges, so you need to plan ahead and bring enough cash to the island. This is because there are still no official addresses on Koh Lipe yet! There is an ATM on the pier in Pak Bara on the mainland. We accept most major credit and debit cards. Most large places on the island such as Pooh's Bar and Bundhaya do the same. If you are coming via Hat Yai there are ATMs and a money changer in the airport. Subject to cash availability, we can give you a cash back on the credit card payment at 5% surcharge. :: Castaway Restaurant & Bar :: Open all year from 07:30 till Late (kitchen closes at 21:00hrs). Apart from just lying on one of Koh Lipe's beautiful beaches there is lots to explore in the area. Koh Lipe is just on the edge of the very large Tarutao National Marine Park and is part of a small chain of islands called the Butang group consisting of Koh Lipe, Koh Adang and Koh Rawi. Throughout the national park and in the surrounding areas are fantastic underwater worlds to explore and diving is very popular here.
Scuba Diving - We have our own dive shop as part of the resort. Free diving - Quite a new sport in Thailand but becoming very popular, one or two day course available. Snorkel Trips - Don't fancy scuba diving but still want to explore the underwater world, then we have lots of different snorkel trips, from just getting your toes wet to pulling your-self along a reef against a strong current. |
||
Island Exploring - With all the islands around there is plenty to see.
Trekking up waterfalls, bird watching, visiting deserted beaches, watching the local monkeys. Massage - If all of that sounds far too active then there is a massage centre in the resort. Yoga - During high season we usually have freelance instructors. |
Koh Lipe is a small island 60 km. offshore in the Andaman sea on the edge of the Tarutao National Marine Park, Thailand's second oldest marine park. Surrounded by beautiful seas rich with hundreds of coral reefs and sea life.
